Interested in learning more about stamps? Interested in getting some good bargains or trading? Or maybe you're interested in getting out of the house once in a while to meet and socialize with other stamp collectors? The Poway Stamp Club, one of the oldest in San Diego and perhaps the most rapidly growing Club, has it all. Each meeting starts out with an informal mini-bourse of members selling and trading with members for some fantastic items. Next comes a very short business meeting to discuss news and events, and upcoming shows and club finances. Then, every club meeting has an interesting program planned - last week it was a half-hour presentation on Tonga Tin Can Mail. This week the Club has purchased 3000+ stamps in a mixture that will be portioned out to each Member - stamps that can be taken home and used for one's collection or used for future trading. Meetings are held at the Carmel Ranch-Sabre Springs Community Recreation Center starting at 6 PM on the second and fourth Wednesday's of each month. Meetings are over by 8 PM.
